Ladakh Youth Conclave

Ladakh Science Foundation - LSF & STEAM Vision Foundation in Collaboration with IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation organized LADAKH YOUTH CONCLAVE 2024 to inspire the youth of Ladakh for innovation & entrepreneurship at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University IGDTUW, Kashmere Gate, Delhi on 17th Jan 2024.

The conclave was graced by Hon’ble Chief Guest Rinchen Lhamo - Member, National Minority Commission, GoI. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Govt of Delhi, Dr Amita Dev and Hon’ble Director General ONGC Energy Centre. Mr Ravi Prasad were the Guest of Honour. The event had a diversified presence of participant students from Ladakh Students Welfare Society Delhi and All Kargil (Ladakh) Student's Association Delhi

The auspicious ceremony started with Ladakhi Prayer and Lamp Lightning by Dr V K Arora - CEO IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation. The event featured insightful speeches on contemporary careers by Shri. Tsering Tashi, Founder-LSF/Scientist ISRO ; Mr Shabir Ahmed, Scientist DRDO;Dr Samla T, Scientist, USA; Ms Rigzin Wangmo, Harvard University USA; Dr Stanzin Agmo, AIIMS, Delhi.

Mr Chander Malik, Founder of STEAM Vision Foundation connected virtually from US to showcase the collaborative efforts of STEAM Vision Foundation with Ladakh Science Foundation with a common goal towards a commitment to serve Ladakh and vision to reach to the last student of the last village of Ladakh

He thanked our esteemed guiding mentor Dr. Amita Dev, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University of Women and how her unconditional support and blessings became a fuel for us to execute our passion and ideas in Ladakh and also thanked Dr V K Arora, CEO, IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation for all his guidance and support.
With Mr. Tsering Tashi, Founder-LSF/Scientist ISRO STEAM vision Foundation want to create an ecosystem where the students changemakers, interns and young blood of Ladakh could identify their passion and then learn by using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) working for the betterment of Ladakh

Team STEAM Vision Foundation shared the journey of Sindhu Shiksha Abhiyan Ladakh, an initiative of STEAM Vision Foundation and announcing upcoming Ladakh online STEAM camp with Ladakh Science Foundation

Cultural performances by Ladakh Students Welfare Society Delhi executives added vibrancy to the event, complemented by a special live performance from renowned Ladakhi singer Faisal Ashoor.

The conclave was concluded by an award giving ceremony where awards were presented to outstanding achievers of Ladakh excelling in academics, sports and other fields and honouring the guest with a token of thanks
