G.E.N.I.U.S
(Girls Empowering New India Using STEAM)
We are Team G.E.N.I.U.S. (Girls Empowering New India Using STEAM), a group of girls working to improve the lives of girls by making them able to empower themselves. Our journey began with the idea to change the notion of girl empowerment to girls empowering. We believe that girls have a potential, that if nurtured then they have the ability to help shape our New India. In order to achieve our goal of learning and sharing, we are using S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) as a pathway.
Our team started working together in 2019, and when the pandemic hit, we transitioned to an online learning environment. We were able to impart our knowledge to children from various states especially girls through these online classes. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from the professionals from around the world in 2021 and 2022, and we shared our knowledge and principles with other children through outreach programs and STEAM camps.
