STEAM Vistarak
Igniting Passion for Education and Innovation
A groundbreaking initiative by the STEAM Vision Foundation in collaboration with Kalam Dream Lab Sewadham. Aims to empower young students and ignite their passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics(STEAM) education. Bringing together 21 talented students called STEAM Vistaraks from different states of Bharath.
Objectives
Provide computer and digital education to a minimum of 21 students each. Reach out to a total of 441 students within two months. Equip students with essential computer skills and enhance soft skills and communication abilities.
Path of Learning
Students learn innovation through experimentation on 21st-century technologies such as robotics, mobile app development, IoT, AI, VR, game design, web entrepreneurship, blockchain, and cybersecurity. Learning by doing, research-based learning, learning from failures, learning beyond boundaries, peer learning, peer mentoring, cognitive learning, SWOT analysis, design thinking, spiritual quotient (SQ), love quotient (LQ), emotional quotient (EQ), mind mapping, empathy mapping, and educate to innovate.
Tools and Skills
Utilizing MIT App Inventor, Code.org, Tinkercad, Canva, Google Sites, Google Forms, block coding, Blender, and programming languages like C/C++, Python, and Java. Developing digital literacy, ideation, prototyping, design thinking, computational thinking, problem-solving, physical computing, and more. Impact and Replication: STEAM Vistaraks inspire young minds to identify and solve problems using basic computer skills. Fosters innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in students. Pilot project with 21 STEAM Vistaraks paving the way for future replication in other states. Expanding reach and impact to create positive change across the nation.
