Ladakh Science Foundation (LSF) and STEAM Vision Foundation, in collaboration with IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation, organized the Ladakh Youth Conclave 2024 to inspire the youth of Ladakh for innovation & entrepreneurship at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University (IGDTUW), Kashmere Gate, Delhi, on January 17th, 2024.

The esteemed event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Guest Rinchen Lhamo, Member of the National Minority Commission, Government of India. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Dr. Amita Dev, and Hon’ble Director General of ONGC Energy Centre, Mr. Ravi Prasad, were honored as the Guests of Honour.

The conclave witnessed a diverse participation of students from Ladakh Students Welfare Society Delhi and the All Kargil (Ladakh) Student's Association Delhi.

The auspicious ceremony commenced with a Ladakhi Prayer and Lamp Lighting by Dr. V K Arora, CEO of IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation. The event featured insightful speeches on contemporary careers by distinguished speakers including Shri. Tsering Tashi, Founder of LSF/Scientist ISRO; Mr. Shabir Ahmed, Scientist DRDO; Dr. Samla T, Scientist, USA; Ms. Rigzin Wangmo, Harvard University USA; and Dr. Stanzin Agmo, AIIMS, Delhi.

Mr. Chander Malik, Founder of STEAM Vision Foundation, virtually connected from the US to showcase the collaborative efforts between STEAM Vision Foundation and Ladakh Science Foundation, with a shared commitment to serve Ladakh and reach every student in the region.

We are incredibly honored to announce that today we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Tsering Tashi, a distinguished Senior Scientist at ISRO for over 21 years. As the first ISRO Scientist hailing from Ladakh and the Founder of Ladakh Science Foundation (LSF), Mr. Tashi graced us with his presence and shared invaluable insights, guidance, and motivation with our students and volunteers.

Together, STEAM Vision Foundation and Ladakh Science Foundation are steadfastly working towards fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Ladakh. Through initiatives like Sindhu Shiksha Abhiyan Ladakh, we aim to empower the youth and cultivate a vibrant STEAM community in the region.
